Well the call for custom went well. We went from having 2 guests on Saturday night, to 18 (+ 4 staff) for the BBQ on Sunday night. During the week we had 7 guests and Tommy (work experience) staying in the chalet, so every room booked up! This wasn’t a record, the record was 74 and goes back a few years (the passportes weekend again) but this was the first time we catered for them all. We hired the Bel Alpe hotel, lock stock and barrel, the owners spent 20 minutes showing us how to use it and then handed us the [...] It’s been rumoured for a while, and as we are still in June and as it is not yet open it is still a rumour. This is big news for Morzine, the OT (Tourist Office) is asking for help building a new “easy” trail on Pleney. They have brought in a proffessional from Bike Solution to direct the work and they are looking for voluteers to help out on June 16/17th. Brilliant, I can’t wait. “Engaging the users” is something [...] May 30th 2009, the uplifts have opened in Les Gets. I got out on my bike for my first local ride of the season.
