The Dauphiné Libéré is touring the Haute Savoie in mid June. This 8 day cycle race is a great way to get “up close and personal” with the cycling stars. Many of the pros who will be riding “Le Tour” use this as a pre tour warm up. The stages to watch in the Haute Savoie are
Stage 4 (June 12th), up above Geneva on La Saleve. Great views over Lac Leman
Stage 5 (June 13th), over the famous Col du Joux Plan, finishes in Morzine
Stage 6 (June 14th), leaves Morzine and heads to the Savoie, hang out and watch the relaxed start in Morzine.
This year there is quite a line up of cycling stars including Cadel Evans, Valverde, Oscar Pereiro, Tom Boonen, Gert Steegmans, Thor Hushovd, Levi Leipheneimer, Bradley Wiggins (GB) and local hero Patrice Halgand.
